All tennis fans know that the qualifying week of any Grand Slam is an event you will not want to miss! Get a glimpse of the tour’s rising stars in action, cheer on your favourite players as they fight for a place in the main draw, and watch the big names of tennis make their last-minute adjustments on the practice courts between 20th and 24th May at the Porte d’Auteuil.

A day full of action…on all courts!

The three rounds of qualifying matches electrify the outside courts from Monday to Friday of Opening Week. But from 20th to 24th May 2024, these decisive matches are being stepped up a notch, with the hottest encounters scheduled for the first time on Suzanne-Lenglen court, which will unveil its new retractable roof especially for the occasion.

In addition to allowing Opening Week to welcome 15,000 spectators per day (compared to 10,000 in previous years), this new feature means that play will be guaranteed all week long, even in the event of bad weather!

See the stars up close

If discovering new talents and seeing them battle for a place in the main draw of the 2024 tournament is not exciting enough for you, you also have the opportunity to sit in the stands on the legendary Philippe-Chatrier court and watch the WTA and ATP’s tennis titans practise their skills ahead of the tournament.

Whether you catch reigning champions Iga Swiatek and Novak Djokovic or the many other contenders for the title (Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner or Stefanos Tsitsipas, who was runner-up in 2021 and recently won the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters), they will all be around during Opening Week in order to prepare for their first match in plenty of time!
